In the case of Arrowhead Capital Finance Ltd v KPMG LLP [2012] EWHC 1801 the Court of Appeal dismissed claims against accountants KMPG when its client was dissolved and found they didn’t owe a duty of care to an indirect investor, Arrowhead.

These Libel proceedings arose from a mayoral election leaflet, which had the headline: “Not Ken Again”, which linked Mr Crow with the former Lord Mayor, Ken Livingstone.

Trees damage to property and claims in negligence.
In Berent v Family Mosaic Housing & Anor [2012] EWCA Civ 96 the Claimant owned a flat in Islington. The first Defendant, Family Mosaic, owned a neighbouring property. Within that property stood a tree which was subject to a Tree Preservation Order imposed by Islington Borough Council.
