Gibbs v Leeds United Football Club Ltd [2016]
The issue to be determined was whether Nigel Gibbs was constructively dismissed, by reason of a repudiatory breach of contract by Leeds United, or whether he chose to go without there being any breach and whether Gibbs acted unreasonably in failing to mitigate his losses by rejecting an offer to take over as Head Coach in August 2014 after he had resigned.

The Respondent worked as a catering manager in a prison in Swansea. Her duties involved all catering matters at the prison including overseeing the kitchen where meals were cooked for the prisoners.
